Hi, my name is Alonzo Carter (LinkedIn). I’m a computer expert who lives in San Diego, California. I run my own technology consulting company, helping with home office PC setups.
Specifically, I help people build out the best at home work stations for their work-from-home needs. This requires a lot of technical abilities- especially dealing with printers and ink!
The Early Years
Growing up, I was obsessed with desktop computers.
I grew up in the eighties and nineties so when computers came on the scene, they were so revolutionary that our family always bought the latest technology, even though that technology seems pretty laughable nowadays.
Whether it was playing the first version of Doom that you had to load into the computer with dozens of floppy disks, or learning how to work in MS-DOS, computers have been an unrivaled source of fascination for me over the course of my lifetime.
In particular, we witnessed printers evolving dramatically over time. We even had a plotter, which was like a printer in some respects, but has small spindly arms that it used to print or draw from the computer. The long and short of it, I’ve owned dozens of printers over the years and have become somewhat of an expert.
In the beginning, I was just messing around creating fun posters for myself, or printing out homework assignments in cursive script.
But as I grew up, I became more and more interested in how printers worked. I’ve learned a lot about printing technology over the years, but one thing that is always bothered me is how the printer companies charge so much money for print cartridges.
That’s why I decided to create this website to help people choose the best printer ink cartridges for their printers. In addition, I post a lot of articles about printer maintenance topics as well as tips and tricks to optimize how your printer performs.
